Our Leadership

Our leadership team is committed to fulfilling the vision of the Gathering.

Rick Ervin

Born in Texarkana, Texas, Rick is keeping pace with his lifelong dream of running his own sheet metal fabrication business. Business is booming and has been on an upward trajectory for more than 20 years. Rick attributes his success to surrounding himself with people of faith who continually stoke the fire by believing and speaking the best.

Rick continues in a 30 year love affair with his wife Peggy. They live in West Houston with their two adopted Afghan Hounds. They have one daughter and two grandchildren.

Calvary Community Church is their spiritual family, where Rick contributes time, talent and money. He leads a fellowship group and is involved with Innerchange Freedom Initiative, a faith-based prison program at the Carol Vance unit in Sugar Land, Texas.

Richard Bagby

Richard and Hayley Bagby and familyBorn in Dallas, Texas, Richard grew up in the pressure cooker of high school football as the head coach’s son. Playing football for Blinn College in Brenham, Texas, he met and fell in love with beautiful Hayley Crain. They moved to Austin, where Jesus revealed Himself to Richard, plucking him out of self destruction, easy money, shame and deception and planting him firmly in his destiny. Richard and Hayley have been married for XX years and have three sons.

Richard is a skilled builder and recently launched his own residential construction business that is already bursting at the seams. Richard’s spiritual family is Abiding Life Christian Fellowship, a vibrant congregation dually aligned with Randy Clark’s Global Awakening and Bill Johnson’s Bethel Church. Richard plays guitar on the worship team, leads a men’s fellowship and is involved in outreaches to men in prison and at a local mission.

In November of 2001, Richard and some of his buddies planned a getaway weekend to worship, seek the Lord and encourage one another to be the husbands and fathers God designed them to be. Dubbed “A Gathering of Men,” the retreat took place in April of 2002 and sparked the ministry “The Gathering of Life.” The focus for The Gathering is to launch men and women into their God-designed destinies as effective parents, great marriage partners and influential marketplace ministers. Sometimes our journey into destiny requires that we walk on water. Richard's walk on water is to believe God to empty the prison systems, end fatherlessness, divorce and homelessness and to restore God’s sons and daughters to their Royal purpose.
